Church News: How come more churches don't have at least a simple blog site?

I am surprised at the large number of churches that do not have a simple website.  A simple one is easy to build at a very low cost or in some cases for free.

But instead of using the website, most churches in certain associations prefer the antiquated e-mail system. This system is propelled by sending e-mails to a bulk of the churches, and then hoping the church clerk will read the announcement on Sunday morning.  Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.
